Ichimoku Box Indicator
The Ichimoku Cloud + Box + Prediction indicator is an advanced analytical tool designed for Ichimoku analysis. In addition to the standard Ichimoku components, it provides a wide range of features for drawing and analyzing Ichimoku boxes, predicting future values, identifying important points, and examining the relationships between different Ichimoku lines.
The indicator is designed to bring many of the tools needed for Ichimoku analysis together in a single environment directly on the chart.
Ichimoku Box
One of the main features of the indicator is the ability to draw Ichimoku Boxes.
You can select any candle as the reference candle directly on the chart using the mouse. The selected candle can then be moved to the left or right using Drag & Drop.
Once a candle is selected, the corresponding Ichimoku boxes for different periods are drawn on the chart. By default, three boxes based on the 9, 26, and 52 periods are available.
For each box, the High and Low of the corresponding period are calculated, and the locations of the highest and lowest prices can also be displayed.
The period, color, and thickness of each box can be customized. You can also add additional boxes with your own desired periods.
Prediction Boxes
In addition to the box based on the selected candle, the indicator can display Prediction Boxes on the right side of the chart.
These boxes show the corresponding price ranges for different periods in the future area of the chart and can be used to examine the potential structure of future price ranges.
The prices corresponding to the upper and lower boundaries of each box, as well as its midpoint, can also be displayed. By enabling the Mid Line, a center line is shown for each box.
Live Ichimoku Boxes
Ichimoku Boxes are not limited to historical candles.
By enabling the option for the latest candle, the three main Ichimoku boxes are displayed for the most recent candle on the chart. As new candles form, their values are automatically updated.
This makes it possible to monitor the current state of the 9, 26, and 52-period boxes in real time.
Ichimoku Components
In addition to its box-related features, the indicator also works as a complete Ichimoku indicator.
The different Ichimoku components, including:
- Tenkansen
- Kijunsen
- Span A
- Span B
- Chikou
- Kumo Cloud
can be displayed separately on the chart.
The color and thickness of the lines can be customized, and custom Period and Shift values can be set for some components.
The indicator also allows you to add two additional custom Ichimoku components, each with its own independent Period and Shift.
Ichimoku Crosses
The indicator can identify and display different types of Ichimoku line crosses.
Tenkansen and Kijunsen Crosses can be marked on the chart using customizable symbols. In addition to regular crosses, the indicator can detect Flat Crosses — situations where Tenkansen and Kijunsen reach the same value and then move apart.
Another type is the Road Cross, which identifies points where the values of Tenkansen, Kijunsen, Span A, and Span B become equal.
You can also display Single Crosses, which are crosses that have not been preceded by another cross within the previous 25 candles.
The color and size of the cross markers can be customized.
Box High & Low Cross
The indicator can also identify situations where the High or Low values of multiple boxes become equal.
This makes it possible to highlight points on the chart where the upper or lower boundaries of different boxes reach the same price level.
Tenkansen & Kijunsen Rotation
The Rotation feature identifies points where the direction of Tenkansen or Kijunsen changes.
For example, when Tenkansen changes from a downward movement and begins moving upward for the first time, the corresponding point can be marked on the chart. The same can be applied to a change from an upward movement to a downward movement.
Tenkansen and Kijunsen rotations can be enabled separately, and the color and size of their markers can also be customized.
Span A Similarity
Another feature of the indicator is the ability to analyze the similarity between the movement of Span A and Tenkansen or Kijunsen.
In this section, the movement of Span A is compared with the movement of Tenkansen and Kijunsen. Points where the movement of Span A shows greater similarity to one of these two lines can be highlighted on the chart.
You can also enable a condition requiring one of the lines to be Flat. For example, you can analyze the similarity between Span A and Tenkansen while Kijunsen remains Flat.
Tenkansen & Kijunsen Prediction
The indicator also provides Prediction features for Tenkansen and Kijunsen.
Potential future values of these lines are calculated based on previous candle data and displayed on the chart.
For Tenkansen, potential values can be projected for up to a number of future candles corresponding to its Period. The same applies to Kijunsen based on its own Period.
This feature provides a calculated prediction only. The displayed values are not guaranteed future values of the lines.
Ichimoku Values & Points
In many situations, an analyst may want to check the value of an Ichimoku component at a specific candle without displaying the corresponding line across the entire chart.
The indicator can display points for Tenkansen, Kijunsen, Span A, and Span B at the desired location.
By moving the mouse over these points, the corresponding value can be viewed through a Tooltip.
Moving Averages
In addition to the Ichimoku tools, the indicator supports up to three Moving Averages.
For each Moving Average, you can select the type, Period, color, and thickness. Types such as SMA, EMA, and RMA are available.
This allows several commonly used technical analysis tools to be available within the same environment without adding separate indicators to the chart.
Replay & Manual Backtesting
One of the useful features of the indicator is its Replay mode.
When this mode is enabled, you can select a specific point on the chart as the starting point and hide all candles that come after that point from the analysis view.
This allows you to examine the chart from a historical point in time and use the Ichimoku tools, boxes, Moving Averages, and other features of the indicator without seeing subsequent candles.
This feature can be useful for historical analysis and manual backtesting.
One Tool for Ichimoku Analysis
Ichimoku Cloud + Box + Prediction brings together a wide range of tools for Ichimoku analysis in a single indicator.
From 9, 26, and 52-period boxes and custom boxes to Ichimoku components, Cross and Rotation analysis, Span A movement analysis, line values, Prediction, Moving Averages, and Replay, all features can be enabled or disabled according to your needs.
This indicator is a technical analysis tool and is not a trading strategy or a buy/sell signal system. The Prediction features are based solely on calculations and projections and should not be considered guaranteed future values or trading recommendations.
